This week was pretty stagnant, I mainly took time to think things through and continued researching into ideas and artists who could help my practice. I found two new artists whose work has appealed to me, Mary Weatherford and Michael Williams. I really love their use of colour and texture and how it shapes these idyllic landscapes of real places but are quite allusive in nature. My work is beginning to take shape into what I want it to be, I need to act on it more and stop fretting over the little things - as it's no use in the long run.

I spent a lot of time drifting between ideas and thoughts and I feel like they're beginning to become tangible things rather than just things.

I began to finally talk about a potential collaboration between me and my friends and where we would like to see it go. The project is looking at being quite a long term thing and could potentially be a business idea in the future? we began testing how our work would look on textiles and fabric and if it would be feasible to even start our project. I think there is a lot of scope in our idea and the potential is there. We each got sketchbooks and are starting to collate our drawings and ideas into pieces which could filter into other aspects of our work. I really enjoy working with Alex and Nathan and I think our practices align with one another really well and we all share an interest in fashion and street wear in general. so what better way than to incorporate our own styles into clothing and other apparel? We send each other posts from fashion companies and designers on instagram and share our thoughts n ideas about them and where we would like to see our ideas go. It feel good to step away from my own practice and think of something else and challenge myself to think of other ways my work could be presented.
