On Tuesday I had another tutorial with my tutor Anna, we spoke about how I was finding the switch to online school and how my work was progressing and if I had started creating my digital portfolio yet. Also, we spoke about ways around not being able to take part in physical events and if digital exhibitions or events were things to look into. I definitely want to try digital exhibitions and events I guess I just need to look more for them and see what and when the opening call is. It worries me sometimes too as I feel like my editing skills are not up to par with others and submitting images to a digital exhibition might be a hassle - but I guess I will need to practice and eventually get better at editing.
I also began thinking about local Arts councils and organisations and if over the summer I could volunteer or take part in their events or be apart of their committee until I return for Year 3.
I spent the rest of the weeks baking cookies and going for walks with my sister. it felt good to catch up on things I have missed over the past few weeks and take time for myself. Me. Alex and Lily still continued watching Glee, which surprisingly is a great way to spend every night!
I started a new Korean drama called "Psychopaths Diary" which was really funny as the guy in it thinks he is a psychopath after losing his memory, and finds a diary belonging to an actual psychopath with records of all the killings they've committed (which he thinks is his), but the guy is completely harmless so he has to convince himself and everyone around him that he is in fact a psychopath. 10/10 recommend.
I also finished reading "Convenience store woman" a book my friend Alex lend me. it was really good and questions societies expectations of women and men, what it means to belong and where we belong. especially in a hyper-competitive society we live in today.
